CM Nitish Kumar in Gopalganj.
Jagran correspondent, Gopalganj. A large number of women reached the meeting organized at Barauli High School under the Samriddhi Yatra to listen to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Addressing the stage, while the Chief Minister enumerated the achievements of his government, he also made a scathing attack on the opposition.
The Chief Minister said that before 2005 the situation in Bihar was very bad. People were afraid to leave their homes as soon as evening fell. There were daily disputes in the society, Hindu-Muslim fights were common. The condition of education was pathetic and there were no proper arrangements for treatment. There were no roads and electricity was limited to very few places.
He said that when our government was formed, we fixed all the systems one by one. Extensive work was done in the fields of education, health, roads and electricity. Today the situation has changed in Bihar. He asked in a questioning tone, do Hindu-Muslim fights take place anywhere now?
Taking aim at the opposition, the Chief Minister said that a leader became the Chief Minister only for seven months. During that time he created a mess and after stepping down, made his wife the Chief Minister. He said that the old people never worked for development, whereas his government has been continuously striving for the overall development of Bihar since the beginning.
During the Chief Minister's address in the meeting, a lot of enthusiasm was seen among the women and supporters.
