Padmashree honored farmers shared their experiences
Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. On the second day of the seven-day mega agricultural fair and agricultural exhibition, a special session 'Agriculture to Prosperity' was organized on the main stage. In this session, eminent personalities and experts from the agriculture world shared their views on the changing nature, innovation and future prospects of Indian agriculture.
Padmashree awardee Dr. Ramchet Chaudhary, Bharat Bhushan Tyagi, Ramsharan Verma and Chandrashekhar Singh were present as chief guests in the program. Along with him, Dr. RR Singh, Director of the Faculty of Agriculture of Gorakhpur University, MLA Vipin Singh and Pradeep Shukla were also present on the stage.
Dr. Ramchet Chaudhary in his address stressed the need to give international recognition to black salt rice. On this occasion, agricultural machinery was distributed to farmers benefited under Custom Hiring Center and In-situ Crop Residue Management Scheme under Sub Mission on Agriculture Mechanization Scheme.
Among the beneficiary farmers, Vijay Pratap, Chunnel Prajapati, Lakshmi Narayan, Rajaram and Satendra Bahadur Singh were handed over the keys of tractor rotavator, cultivator, harrow, super seeder, baler, reaper, MB plough, hay-rake and straw chopper.
After this, the guests took information about modern technology and products at the stalls of private institutions and FPOs along with Deputy Agriculture Director Dhananjay Singh, District Agriculture Officer Devendra Pratap Singh and District Agriculture Defense Officer Dr. RD Verma. Agricultural scientists delivered lectures on organic farming, advanced technology and farming based on Shree Anna.
