Opportunity for appointment to the post of stenographer
Jagran correspondent, Patna. Job Vacancy in Bihar: Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has invited applications for 15 posts of Stenographer in Patna.
Candidates can apply online from 12th January. Its last date is February 2. Candidates can get detailed information by visiting the website of the Commission www.bpsc.bihar.gov.in.
This includes seven posts of unreserved category, one of economically weaker section, two of Scheduled Caste, three of extremely backward class and two of backward class.
Educational qualification for these posts is mandatory to pass Intermediate or equivalent from recognized boards or institutions. Maulvi Certificate, ITI (two-year course whose certificate is issued by NCVT/SCVT) and Polytechnic (three-year engineering diploma) will be considered equivalent to Intermediate.
In technical qualification, it is mandatory to have shorthand and computer typing in Hindi and English and average knowledge of computer. Applicants should be minimum 18 years and maximum 37 years for unreserved (male), 40 years for backward class/extremely backward class (male and female) and unreserved female and 42 years for scheduled caste/scheduled tribe (male and female) as on August 1, 2025.
चयन प्रक्रिया लिखित परीक्षा एवं व्यावहारिक जांच परीक्षा के आधार पर पूर्ण की जाएगी। The written examination will be objective. In this examination, there will be one paper on General Knowledge, in which the number of questions from General Studies and the number of questions from General Science and Mathematics will be 50.
Interview of Assistant Museum Director postponed
BPSC has postponed the interview of successful candidates in the written (objective) competitive examination for appointment to the posts of Assistant Curator, Research and Publication Officer, Assistant Director due to unavoidable reasons.
This interview was to be held on January 16 under the Department of Art, Culture and Youth. सहायक प्रशाखा पदाधिकारी (मुख्य) प्रतियोगिता परीक्षा के लिए 12 जनवरी से ऑनलाइन आवेदन किया जा सकता है।
The last date of application is 31 January. The Commission has said that the examination is possible on 27th February. Change in date is also possible due to administrative reasons.
