Gurugram Dog Attack: Dogs Are Becoming Dangerous In Gurugram, 2328 People Became Victims In Two Months.

Jagran correspondent, Gurugram. With the onset of cold weather, dogs have started becoming aggressive. In the last two months, a total of 2328 new cases of dog bites have been registered in government hospitals of the district. According to the data, 1231 people became victims of dog attacks in September, 1166 in October and 1162 in November.

According to experts, the main reason for dogs becoming aggressive in winter is their breeding season. Twice a year, six months, February, March, August, September, October and November, are the breeding season of dogs, due to which hormonal changes within the dogs increase their aggression and increase the number of their attacks.

In the District Civil Hospital located in Sector-10A, a continuous increase in dog bite cases has been recorded in October and November as compared to the month of September. Here, 510 new dog bite cases were registered in September, while 560 new patients arrived in the month of October and 563 in November.

Doctors said that in most of the cases, people became victims of dogs while walking in the morning and late evening or while passing near the herds present around their houses. PMO Dr. Lokveer said that caution should be taken in case of dog bites. On the other hand, instructions have also been issued by the executive body of the Municipal Corporation to intensify the monitoring and vaccination campaign of dogs in sensitive areas.

Take these precautions when bitten by dogs

Adequate availability of anti-rabies vaccine has been ensured in all government hospitals of the district, so that injured patients can get immediate treatment.
