Jagran correspondent, Hapur. To expose the robbery of Rs 85 lakh in broad daylight on NH-09 in Pilkhuwa police station area, ADG and DIG had deployed the police of all the districts of Meerut range after the miscreants. But, till now the police have failed to catch the miscreants.
The whistleblower system regarding surveillance is not working. In such a situation, senior officials are facing embarrassment. On the other hand, anger is increasing among the business class due to the incident not being exposed.
The incident took place on 15 December
On December 15, at around 2 pm on the Delhi-Lucknow National Highway-09 in Pilkhuwa, bike-riding miscreants had looted Rs 85 lakh from Ajay Pal of Dadri, Gautam Buddha Nagar. Two miscreants riding on a bike from behind kicked Ajay Pal's bike and made him fall.
The miscreants had complete information about the accountant's route, time and amount. To expose the incident, ADG and DIG of Meerut Range had deployed police and SOG teams from Hapur, Meerut, Baghpat, Bulandshahr, Ghaziabad, Noida. The teams examined the CCTV footage of the highway.
Pictures of the miscreants also surfaced. After which a reward of Rs 50 thousand was announced on the robbers and their photo was made public. But even after a week, no criminal has been arrested.
Panic and anger among traders
There is an atmosphere of fear among the business class due to such a huge robbery on the highway in broad daylight. Business organizations have demanded increased police patrolling on the highway and strengthening of security arrangements. He says that if such a huge amount can be looted, then how will common traders and their employees be safe.
Let us tell you that this matter has become a big challenge for Meerut Zone Police. If arrests are not made soon, the anger of the traders may increase further.
ASP Vineet Bhatnagar said that teams are engaged. The police have got important clues related to the miscreants. Soon the miscreants will be arrested and the crime will be exposed.
