Jagran correspondent, Ambala/Kurukshetra. In a major action, Ambala unit of Special Task Force (STF) of Haryana Police has arrested four most-wanted shooters of Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Police have recovered a huge quantity of illegal weapons and cartridges from their possession. These shooters were planning to commit some major crime in other parts of the state and the country.

STF Ambala team had received information from the informer that some active shooters of Lawrence Bishnoi gang were present near Kurukshetra to carry out some conspiracy. Taking immediate action on this, the team arrested the four accused from the lay-by area of ​​Umri (Kurukshetra) located on GT Road.

Details of arrested accused

1. Gagan: Resident village Bhalkhi, Mahendragarh (formerly lodged in Panipat jail).2. Jayant Kumar: Resident of village Bhagwadi Kalan, Rajasthan (formerly in jail in a murder case).3. Naresh Kumar: Resident village Rata Mohalda, Mahendragarh.4. Sahil: Resident village Dundhrehadi, Kaithal.

Conspiracy of recovery and major incidents

Police have recovered 03 illegal country made pistols and 07 live cartridges from the accused. During interrogation, it has come to light that these accused had to open fire for ransom at the toll plaza located on Rewari-Narnaul Highway on the instructions of gangsters Nitin Fauji and Rambir Jat.

Apart from this, at the behest of gangster Mayank alias Sunil Meena, they were also planning to carry out a major crime in Ranchi (Jharkhand).

Accused Gagan was earlier involved in the Rakesh murder case, while Jayant Kumar had murdered Mandeep Bhagwadi Kalan. Both of them had recently come out on bail and had again become active in strengthening the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

A case has been registered against these accused under sections 111(3), 111(4), 3(5) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and Arms Amendment Act in Thanesar police station (Kurukshetra).

STF will now take these accused on remand and find out who else was their target and where other gang members are hiding.
