Jagran correspondent, Dehradun. A case of leaving two dogs on a five year old child has come to light in Raipur area. When they protested, four women and two men abused and assaulted the councilor and his wife. After investigation, Raipur police station has registered a case against the accused. The incident took place on the evening of 19 January. Councilor Sanjit Kumar Bansal, resident of Danda Khudanewala Sahastradhara Road, told that his wife had taken their five-year-old son for a walk.

Four women and two men were walking their two dogs near Matawala Park. During this time, when the dogs started barking at the child, the councilor's wife protested against walking the dogs in a public place. After this, there was a heated argument between both the parties, after which a scuffle broke out. Somehow the people of the village intervened and rescued them. It is alleged that the accused released dogs on the child, although the child was not harmed.

Immediately on information, the councilor also reached the spot and when asked the reason for walking the dog in a public place and fighting, he started abusing and assaulting the councillor. Outpost in-charge Mayur Vihar Sanjay Rawat, who is investigating the case, said that when the case was investigated on the basis of complaint, no case of dog bite came to light. Four women and two men who were walking the dog abused and assaulted the councilor and his wife. A case has been registered against six people including four women in this case. Soon the accused will be called to record their statement.

Terror of pet dogs continues in public places

Despite the Municipal Corporation issuing many rules regarding pet dogs, cases of dogs scaring people and getting bitten are continuously coming to light. Some time ago, a similar case had come to light in Patel Nagar area, when people protested against people walking a dog in front of an advocate's house, they beat him and left the dog. Meanwhile, an incident of leaving a pet dog on a tempo driver has also come to light in Rajpur area.
