Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Netaji Subhash Medical College and Hospital (NSMCH) located at Adityapur Auto Cluster, State Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari said that now Abua Medical Stores will be opened in the villages to provide health awareness and information about the use of medicines to the villagers in the state.
Consent for this has been received from the Chief Minister. In the first phase, Abua Medical Stores will be opened in 740 villages of the state. These Abua stores will be in rural areas, so that common people can get correct information about medicines from there. The villagers of the village can also get information about the programs being run under health awareness.
The Health Minister said that there is a meeting with the Union Health Minister on January 12 in Delhi. In this meeting, he will demand to establish at least one medical college and hi-tech lab in every district of Jharkhand. By doing this, a better health eco system will develop in the state. Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari in his address highlighted the importance of private participation in strengthening healthcare services.
He said NSMCH will play an important role in reducing the burden on government hospitals and improving access to quality medical education and treatment. This medical college is a strong step towards self-reliance in healthcare for Jharkhand. At present, there are 10 medical hospitals operating in the state of Jharkhand and 8 hospitals are proposed. Our aim is to establish medical colleges in every district of the state.
Bone marrow transplant will take place in the state itself
Health Minister Irfan Ansari said that now the government will conduct tests for sickle cell and thalassemia patients in Jharkhand. How many sickle cell and thalassemia patients are there in which district? Its figures will be revealed. After this the government will treat all Thalassemia and sickle cell patients. Till now these patients were treated outside Jharkhand. These patients had to go to other states. Now treatment for these patients will be available in Jharkhand only. The government is working for this.
Not only this, the facility of bone marrow transplant will also be available in Ranchi soon. The Health Minister also got angry at the media. Said it will turn upside down. Don't do this. We are fixing the medical system of Jharkhand. He said that we are trying our best to increase the number of doctors in Jharkhand.
