Samvad Sutra, Safdarganj (Barabanki). Due to faulty valve of the CNG container going on Lucknow-Ayodhya Highway, gas started leaking rapidly. Seeing this scene, there was chaos all around and the traffic on that lane came to a standstill. Due to the wisdom and courage of the container driver and the police, a major accident could be avoided by stopping the gas leak.
A CNG container containing 30 tanks of gas from the Reliance plant located on Deva Road. This container was going from Ramsanehighat to a CNG pump located on Asandra road. Suddenly, the main valve of the CNG container leaked just ahead of Dadra intersection located on the Lucknow-Ayadhya highway in Safdarganj. Due to which gas started leaking very rapidly. The driver immediately parked the vehicle on the roadside and informed the police.
SO Safdarganj Amar Chaurasia reached the spot and talked to the officials of Reliance Plant. After this, the leakage of gas could be stopped due to the wisdom of the driver and the police. The SO said that the plant officials said that except the main valve, all the tanks have valves, if they are closed then the leakage will stop. The police and the driver displayed courage and closed other valves amid the leak and the leak stopped.
The police acted proactively and immediately diverted the traffic as a precautionary measure. Traffic on that lane was closed and those vehicles were diverted to other lanes and other routes. Also, special precautions were taken to prevent fire or spark in the surrounding areas, due to which no major accident could occur. However, during this time, hundreds of pedestrians and villagers gathered far away from the vehicle and were watching the leakage.
