Jagran correspondent, Ranchi. HEC i.e. Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited, which is called the mother of industries in the country, is now taking help of its land to save itself. The management of the company, which is facing financial crisis, has prepared a proposal to sell its land to the smart city. The management has sought permission from the Ministry of Heavy Industries and the State Government.

If permission is granted, it will sell 1000 acres of land in the first phase. There were also talks between HEC and smart city management regarding the sale of land. Smart city management had asked for 500 acres of land from the company. If the case is finalized, HEC will get about Rs 5500 crore in lieu of 500 acres of land.
