High Profile Thug Who Gave Expensive Gifts To Police Officers Arrested In Indore, Used To Cheat By Renting Luxury Cars

Annapurna police station of the city has arrested high profile thug Sanjay Kalra alias Sanjay Karira, who presented expensive gifts to IPS and SPS officers by posing as an influential person. The accused faces serious allegations of misappropriation of luxury cars. Cases are registered against him in Juni Indore, Annapurna, Dwarkapuri, Rajendranagar and Tukoganj police stations.

According to Annapurna police station in-charge Ajay Nair, this action was taken on the complaint of Radhika Solanki, resident of Kesharbagh Road. Radhika told that there is a 1500 square feet washing center near her house, which was given on rent to Vaibhav Joshi three years ago. Vaibhav handed over the said place to Sanjay Kalra without permission. After this Kalra started the business of luxury cars from there.

It is alleged that Sanjay Kalra used to take expensive cars on rent from people and later sell them at throwaway prices and dispose of them. When the victims of fraud started reaching the washing centre, Radhika put pressure on them to vacate the shop. On Monday, when Radhika and her sister Kavita tried to explain, Kalra threatened them and said that the shop now belonged to them. He threatened senior officers and demanded Rs 20 lakh in cash and pressurized them to get the shop audited.

Seeing the seriousness of the matter, Police Commissioner Santosh Kumar Singh gave instructions for immediate arrest. After this, TI Ajay Nair traced the mobile location of the accused, who was present in the DCP office located on MOG Line. The police laid siege and arrested him from there.

Pain of victims: All earnings looted

Accused Sanjay Kalra Juni is a resident of Indore and used to use his influence by posing as close to IPS officers. As soon as the information about the arrest was received, a large number of victims reached Annapurna police station on Tuesday evening. He told that Kalra took the cars purchased on loan through contract, paid for the first few months and then removed the GPS from the cars and made them disappear.

Late night, the police registered another case on the complaints of other victims including Romendra Singh, Islam Patel, Surbhi Gupta, Dharmendra Kushwaha, Krishna, Nilesh and Santosh. The police is now interrogating the accused and is busy recovering the entire fraud network and cars.
