Historic debut and record offers
This year the placements have had a great start. By just 8 am on the second day, the institute's students had received over 1,000 job offers, the fastest ever recorded. By the end of Phase-1, a total of 1,501 offers were received, including 457 Pre-Placement Offers (PPO).
Rain of packages worth crores in IIT Kharagpur
This time's performance in terms of salary package was excellent. The maximum CTC of this session was Rs 2.44 crore. Five students got domestic offers of more than Rs 2 crore.
This time a total of 10 offers were received, out of which 8 were domestic and 2 were international. With a total of 15 international offers, global companies expressed confidence in the talent of IIT Kharagpur.
Participation of reputed global companies
In this phase of placement, leading companies from diverse sectors like technology, core engineering, finance and analytics participated. Prominent among them are tech giants Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Samsung, Tesla, Airbus, Siemens and Tata Group.
