Havildar Maqsood Deen, son of Sukhi Deen, resident of Sadwan Panchayat of Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, has been decorated with Sena Medal for bravery and indomitable courage. On the eve of Republic Day, the President of the Republic of India announced the gallantry awards, in which the name of Havildar Maqsood Deen was also included. Maqsood Deen is posted in the Artillery Regiment of the Army. He has been decorated with the Sena Medal for his bravery and indomitable courage for his participation in Operation Sindoor during the deployment of his regiment in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir. He will soon be awarded the Sena Medal in a felicitation ceremony organized by the Army.

He was admitted in 2011. Maqsood Deen was educated at Government Senior Secondary School, Sadwan. After this he joined the army.
