Davos/Lucknow. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh has added a new chapter in the history of global investment. 'Team Yogi' at the World Economic Forum (WEF) has signed a massive investment deal worth US$25 billion (approximately ₹2.10 lakh crore) with AM Green Group. Under this MoU, a state-of-the-art 'Compute Data Center' of 1 gigawatt (1 GW) capacity will be established in Greater Noida. This center will make not only Uttar Pradesh but entire India a global hub of High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence.
1 gigawatt capacity by 2030: 'powerhouse' of AI
This project will prove to change the digital future of India:
Phased development: The first phase of the project will commence by 2028, while it will become operational with its full 1 GW capacity by 2030.
Chipset power: This data center will be equipped with 5 lakh high-performance chipsets, which will provide unprecedented computing power to Frontier Labs, large enterprises and AI developers.
24x7 Green Energy: Sustainable Data Hub
This data center of AM Green Group will be completely carbon-free (Green Energy). For this, wind, solar and pumped storage energy will be used 24x7. This model will strengthen the 'Net Zero' emission policy and vision of sustainable development of the Yogi government.
Expanding employment and technology ecosystem
This huge investment of $25 billion will bring revolutionary changes in the economic and technological landscape of Uttar Pradesh:
High-skill jobs: Thousands of new jobs will be created in areas like AI, software development and cooling technology.
Local development: This will develop local supply chains for hardware manufacturing and specialized AI stack ecosystems.
Global Competition: Indian developers will no longer have to look abroad for global-scale chipset access, thereby accelerating the development of indigenous AI solutions.
Yogi government's policies approved
AM Green Group Chairman Anil Chalmalsetti said on the occasion that Uttar Pradesh's data center policy and investment friendly environment inspired him for this mega project. At the same time, company president Mahesh Kolli described the support of Yogi government as the most important link in the success of this project.
