State Bureau, Shimla. One thousand government buildings are vacant in Himachal Pradesh. Out of this, information about 500 buildings lying vacant in various departments has reached the Cabinet Subcommittee. This revealed that the departments have constructed new buildings and the old buildings are lying idle, the utilization of which will be ensured.

Information about 500 buildings came out in the meeting

Cabinet sub-committee meeting was held on Tuesday and after this meeting, committee member Housing and Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani said that currently information about 500 such buildings has come to light.

Cabinet sub committee will give report to the government

The minister said that many departments have constructed their new buildings and the old ones are lying idle. The Cabinet Sub Committee will give its report in this regard to the government. Many school buildings are also vacant and have not been repaired.

The buildings of these departments are mostly vacant

A large number of buildings of agriculture, animal husbandry, electricity, public works, water power and revenue departments etc. are vacant. Many buildings of Panchayats are also vacant.
