Jagran correspondent, Bhagalpur. Clean, nutritious and cheap food will now be available to passengers at 19 major bus depots of Bihar, including the government bus depot located at Tilkamanjhi in the city.
On the initiative of the state government, in coordination with the Transport Department and Rural Development Department, canteens under 'Jeevika Didi Ki Rasoi' will be started in the first phase in 19 major bus depots.
This scheme will be run by the women of Jeevika Self Help Group (Jeevika Didis). Three bus depots in Bhagalpur division have been included in this scheme. Which includes Jamui and Munger including Bhagalpur.
Regarding this, Regional Manager Pawan Shandilya said that further action will be taken after receiving the letter from the headquarters. Then the work of marking the land will start.
According to the Transport Department, the first phase includes Bhagalpur including Bankipur, Phulwari Sharif, Arrah, Bihar Sharif, Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, Motihari, Chapra, Siwan, Darbhanga, Gaya, Aurangabad, Jehanabad, Nawada, Jamui, Munger, Purnia and Saharsa.

The official associated with the Transport Corporation said that during the journey in Jeevika Didi's kitchen, people will get nutritious food at accessible and affordable rates.
In this, the public will get Puri-Vegetable for Rs 20, Aloo-Sattu Paratha for Rs 30, Dal-Rice for Rs 40, Roti-Vegetable for Rs 35, Litti-Chokha for Rs 30, Veg Pulao for Rs 70 and tea for only Rs 10. He said these are the probable rates now.
