Jagran correspondent, Lucknow. A speeding car rider hit a gram seller hard on Wednesday night in LDA Colony on Kanpur Road. To escape, the seller hung onto the bonnet of the car holding the wiper. The car rider hung him on the bonnet and drove the car for a kilometre.
When the gram seller fell down, the car rider ran over him and ran away. Doctors declared him dead in the hospital. Late Thursday evening, the brother has filed a case against the unknown car driver. 34-year-old Vimal Pal, resident of Nizampur, Badaun, used to sell gram and gram on a cart while living in LDA Colony. Friend Rajesh told that late on Wednesday night he was going home with a cart after the sale. Meanwhile, a speeding car hit him hard on Kanpur road.
Due to the impact, he fell on the bonnet of the car. To save his life, he held the wiper of the car near the mirror. Instead of stopping the car, the car driver dragged him by hanging him on the bonnet for about a kilometre. Vimal kept making noise to stop the car. Meanwhile, the car went out of control and Vimal fell under the car.
The car rider ran over them and ran away. He remained lying injured on the roadside for a long time. Passersby informed Vimal's family. After this, the family members took the injured to Lokbandhu Hospital without informing the police. When his condition became critical, he was referred to the trauma center.

He died during treatment in the trauma center. Brother Ajit, who reached the information, has filed a case against the unknown car driver at Krishna Nagar police station. Assistant Police Commissioner Krishna Nagar Rajneesh Verma said that teams have been deployed to search for the car driver. Information about the incident taking place from WagonR car is available in CC footage. He will be traced soon. It is not yet clear how many people were in the car.
