Accused Ajay Jaiswal, resident of Pratapgarh, was caught

Jagran correspondent, Basti. The police has succeeded in arresting a vicious fraudster who used to make unemployed people his prey by pretending to be a policeman. The arrested accused Ajay Jaiswal, resident of Balipur Gayatri Nagar, Police Station Kotwali Nagar, Pratapgarh was earlier posted as a constable in Ambedkar Nagar district, who has been dismissed due to his criminal character.

The dismissed constable had defrauded Ashwani Dubey, resident of Kurmaul, Police Station Dhanghata, Sant Kabir Nagar, of Rs 1 lakh and another victim of Rs 83 thousand in the name of getting a contractual job in the NGO National Health Safety Services Officer (NHSSO). SHO Sanjay Kumar, SI Devvrat Sharma and constable Pushkar Yadav were included in the arresting team. According to the police, the accused Ajay Jaiswal used his old identity and influence to take innocent people into confidence. He lured the victims with the promise of a well-paid job in a reputed NGO. To convince others, he also resorted to fake documents. Two youths from Sant Kabir Nagar in Lalganj police station area accepted his words and handed over a total of Rs 1.83 lakh to the accused.

He absconded with the money, then the matter came to light. Even after a lot of time had passed, when he did not get a job and the accused started procrastinating, then the victims realized that they had been cheated. When he asked for his money back, Ajay Jaiswal started threatening him. On the complaint of the victims, the Lalganj police acted proactively and laid a trap and arrested the accused. He had an old connection with Ambedkar Nagar. The police investigation revealed the shocking fact that Ajay Jaiswal's old record was very tainted. He was posted as a constable in the police department in Ambedkar Nagar district, but there too he was found involved in criminal activities. Due to these misdeeds of his, the department dismissed him from service. After his dismissal, he made fraud his profession.

A case has been registered against dismissed constable Ajay Jaiswal, he has been arrested and sent to jail. The police is also investigating how many more people he has made victims of his fraud in the area. An appeal has been made to the general public not to give money to any person under the pretext of any kind of job.
