Petition Filed Regarding Publication Of Books Of UP Board Rejected, HC Said- Opportunity Will Remain Open On New Tender In Future

Law correspondent, Jagran, Prayagraj. Allahabad High Court has rejected the petition of Rajiv Prakashan challenging the tender issued for the publication of books of the Secondary Education Council. The division bench of Justice Ajit Kumar and Justice Swaroopama Chaturvedi has given this order.

Advocate appearing for the Board submitted that as per the tender notice number 247 dated 13th November 2025, the tender has already been allotted to the respondent number two and as a result the work order was issued on 31st December 2025, under which the books of class nine and 12 have been published earlier, these are available in the market. Class 11 books are also available by other publishers.

Counsel for the petitioner did not reject the same, but said that such conditions were not fair and were deliberately included to deter well-intentioned persons from applying for the tender.

The court said, in our view, if the tender has already been allotted and the order has been followed then the petition cannot be accepted at this stage. However, the petitioner has the freedom to challenge the terms of any new tender notice issued in future. The court has accumulated the petition on record.
