Jagran correspondent, Fatehpur. A speeding tractor coming from behind hit a father and son riding a bike near PHC Gopalganj on the Kanpur-Prayagraj Highway.
The father sitting behind in the bike jumped off the bike and fell on the highway and died after the wheel of the tractor ran over his head, while the son of the deceased sustained minor injuries. The deceased was going to give khichdi to his daughters' in-laws.
55-year-old Bhola, a resident of Manipurwa village of Ghazipur, was going on a bike on Sunday morning with his son Kuldeep to give khichdi to his daughters Deepa and Maya Devi living in Bilhaur, Kanpur. On the highway near Gopalganj of Kalyanpur police station, a speeding tractor coming from behind hit a father and son riding a bike.
Due to this, the father and son riding the bike fell on the road. The tractor went off crushing Bhola's head, resulting in his death on the spot. After the incident, the tractor driver fled from the spot with the tractor.
Kuldeep told that both the sisters are married in the same house. The deceased's wife, younger daughter Chhaya and brother remained in distress due to the accident. SO Akhilesh Kumar said that a case has been registered and the tractor is being searched.
