State Bureau, Shimla. Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) Board of Directors meeting will be held on Thursday. The meeting will be presided over by Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri. A detailed discussion will be held in the meeting regarding the purchase of tempo travel to be included in the HRTC fleet. Apart from this, the issue of surrendering loss making routes will also be placed in the meeting.

100 buses and 100 tempos will be purchased

HRTC is going to buy 100 Tempo Travellers. The corporation will also buy 100 diesel buses. The tender process for this has been completed. This matter will be placed in the meeting so that its order can be issued.

Preparation to surrender 450 routes

According to sources, HRTC is going to surrender about 450 loss making routes. This matter will also be placed before the Board of Directors. HRTC will surrender these routes, but they will not be closed. The government will give these routes to private operators.

Pending liabilities will also be discussed

Instead of running big buses, tempo travelers will be run on these routes, so that the operator does not suffer losses. All these matters will be put up for discussion in the meeting. Apart from this, issues of employees including providing uniforms, pending liabilities will be discussed.
