Accused in police custody
Jagran correspondent, Bareilly. Rishabh Thakur, who described himself as a terror in the district, was sent to jail by the Baradari police on Tuesday. When the police took him out of the lockup to present him in the court, the accused came out limping. Accused Rishabh was wanted for demanding extortion from the spa centre. Another case has been registered against him for roaming in the district even after leaving the district on Monday itself.
A week ago, two youths of Casa Golden Spa located on Pilibhit Road had circulated a video alleging prostitution. Baradari police went to the spot and investigated the matter, but nothing related to prostitution was found there. After the police action, the next day an audio was circulated on the internet media in which a conversation was taking place with the receptionist of the spa centre.
The person who spoke to the receptionist identified himself as Ashu Yadav and demanded extortion of Rs 40 thousand. Said that its leader is Rishabh Thakur. In this case, on the complaint letter of receptionist Muskaan, Baradari police filed an FIR against five people including Ashu Yadav and its leader Rishabh Thakur.
After this, another audio was circulated on the internet media in which Rishabh Thakur himself was heard talking. Rishabh was threatening the receptionist that he was terror in Bareilly. After this the police became active and on Monday arrested the accused from the newly constructed colony of BDA.
Even after being transferred to the district, when the police asked for permission to come to the city, he could not show it. After this he was arrested and another FIR was registered. When the police took him out of the lockup on Tuesday to present him in the court, he came out limping. The police have now sent him to jail for demanding extortion and coming back to the city even after leaving the district.
