Shamse Alam, Outer Delhi. After Akhtar Khan, a scrap dealer in Faridabad, a scrap dealer in Rohini has also set an example of honesty. A similar example has come to light from Rohini Sector-16 of Delhi, which has further strengthened the confidence of the people.

A woman living in Rohini Sector-26 had sold the cupboard for scrap on Sunday, forgetting to take out the gold and silver jewelery worth about Rs 10 lakh kept in the locker. The scrap dealer showed honesty by returning the jewelery to the owner.

Chandni Kumari, resident of Sector-26, while selling old household items as scrap, also sold an iron cupboard to Ashraf, resident of Rohini Sector-16, on Sunday. On Monday, when scrap dealer Ashraf broke open the cupboard, he found precious gold and silver jewelery in a steel box kept in it.

Inside the box, three gold earrings, three rings, a tilak, three nose rings, a mangalsutra, three tops and about 20 tola silver jewelery were kept in a still vessel. After suddenly getting so many precious jewels, Ashraf chose the path of honesty instead of falling into greed.

He, along with his colleagues Naushad and Sartaj, immediately contacted the family who had sold the cupboard. When the victim's family came to know about this, they were shocked. The family said that while selling the cupboard in a hurry, they did not notice that jewelery was kept in the locker. The family's eyes became moist when all the jewelery was returned safely. Husband Sunil and wife Chandni expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Kabadi Ashraf and his colleagues.

refused to accept reward

Sunil said that even today people have honesty. A living example of which is Kabadi Ashraf and his associates. Pleased with this honesty, he also offered Ashraf a reward of three thousand rupees, but Ashraf flatly refused to accept it. Ashraf is a resident of Gulavathi town located in Buland city of Uttar Pradesh. Here he lives with his family in Rohini area, while he runs a junk shop in Rohini Sector-16 for 10 years.

Was inspired by Akhtar Khan

Ashraf told that a few days ago he had seen the news of honesty of Faridabad scrap dealer Akhtar Khan on the internet media. Inspired by that, he decided that he would never deny anyone's rights. He said that there is blessing only in hard-earned money and it is the duty of humanity to return someone's trust. This incident of Rohini once again proved that honesty is still alive. This initiative of Ashraf and his colleagues is being appreciated in the area and people are considering it as an inspiring example for the society.
