He said that in the same budget which the BJP is calling directionless and colourless, there is a gender budget of Rs 34,211 crore for women empowerment, a children's budget of Rs 10,793 crore for the welfare of children, Rs 1,000 crore for rural road construction, Rs 730 crore under the Mukhyamantri Gram Setu Yojana, schemes for the development of major places of the state including Dasham, Jonha, Hundru Falls in the tourism sector and the World Economic Forum. Investment proposals worth Rs 1.24 lakh crore are included through this, which will create about 45 thousand jobs in the coming time.

Pandey said that BJP is seeing the schemes for development of women, farmers, youth and villages as plunder because this budget directly empowers the common people instead of middlemen.

This budget is the answer to the confusion being spread by BJP on issues like paddy purchase, scholarship, pension or gas cylinder, in which social security and direct benefit transfer have been strengthened.

He also clarified that development is possible only with the assistance received from the Center and balanced use of the state's own resources and this is the basic spirit of this budget. The government has taken a historic step towards decentralized development by giving a grant of Rs 1172 crore 66 lakh to local bodies for the first time.
