Jagran correspondent, Palwal. Utavad police station, taking major action, has busted an illegally running firecracker factory on Utavad-Shikrava road. Police have recovered a huge quantity of explosive material and ready-made firecrackers from the spot. A case has been registered in this matter.
Police had received secret information that children's matchstick crackers were being manufactured without any license inside a tin shed near Jeera Rodi plot and were being supplied from there. As soon as the information was received, the police team raided the mentioned place.
Caught red handed making firecrackers
During the raid, the police caught a youth red handed while making firecrackers on the spot. During interrogation, he was identified as Joni, a resident of Shamli (Uttar Pradesh). Joni told that the owner of this work is Chinu, a resident of Shamli, UP. When the police asked them for a license to make firecrackers, they could not produce any valid document.
During inspection, the police recovered 39 kg 570 grams of coal in two plastic bags, 22 kg 680 grams of potash in one plastic bag and 33 kg 410 grams of prepared firecrackers in three boxes from the spot.

According to the police, keeping such a large quantity of explosive material in the open near a residential area could prove to be extremely dangerous for the life and property of the common people.
The police have seized all the explosive material and sealed it. A case has been registered against the accused Jony and owner Chinu under the Explosives Act and Section 288 (negligent handling of explosive substance) of the Indian Justice Code.
