Is Azam Khan No Longer The Chairman Of Jauhar Trust? An Answer From The Vice Chancellor Created A Stir In The Politics Of Uttar Pradesh.

Azam Khan and Jauhar University

Jagran correspondent, Rampur. SP leader Mohammad Azam Khan, who along with his son Abdullah is serving a seven-year sentence for getting two passports made, is now the chairman of Mohammad Ali Jauhar Trust or someone else? Jauhar University management has maintained silence on this question. However, the Vice Chancellor, in a press conference, accused him of a conspiracy to tarnish the image of the university and talked about legal action. According to sources, Azam Khan along with his wife and son Abdullah had separated from the trust in the year 2024 itself. Whereas, even today he remains on the post of Chancellor in the university.

On Friday, Jauhar University Vice Chancellor Zaheer Uddin, while addressing a press conference, quoted a news published in a newspaper and alleged that a conspiracy was being hatched to defame the university. In this sequence, false news of Azam Khan's resignation from Mohammad Ali Jauhar Trust was published.

When journalists asked who is the chairman of Jauhar Trust, he did not answer saying that this is an internal matter. Raised the question that how can Azam resign from jail. The suspicion deepened due to the Vice Chancellor not giving a direct answer that Azam Khan is no longer the President of the Trust. Apart from this, his wife Tajin Fatma has also been removed from the post of secretary of the trust and his younger son Abdullah Azam has also been removed from the post of member.

If he had been in his position, the university management would not have been averse to accepting this. Intelligence sources say that Azam Khan along with his wife and son Abdullah have been sentenced by the court in Abdullah's fake birth certificate case. In such a situation, there should not be any disruption in the activities of the Trust. Keeping these things in mind, probably Azam Khan along with his wife and younger son removed their names from the trust.

Azam Khan appointed his sister Nikhat as the president of the trust and his elder son Adeeb Azam Khan as the secretary. However, the Vice Chancellor did not accept this during the press conference. This has raised doubts about the officials of Jauhar Trust. Azam Khan's Mohammad Ali Jauhar University is being run under this trust.

Azam remains on the post of Chancellor of the University

There may have been doubts about Azam Khan holding the post of President of Jauhar Trust, but despite being in jail, he is holding the post of Chancellor of Jauhar University. Dr. Dinesh Rajput, Additional Secretary of the State Higher Education Council, told on phone that in the report sent from Jauhar University on January 7, only Azam Khan is holding the post of Chancellor.
