Jagran correspondent, Sambhal. After Bahjoi, now a case of illegal mining in the name of filling in the police officer's residence has come to light in Chandausi area. SDM and Naib Tehsildar raided and seized a dumper and tractor-trolley.
On Tuesday, illegal mining was going on in the forest of Muhammadpur Kasba village of Narauli in Baniyather police station area. The special thing is that permission for mining was taken in the name of a house under construction, whereas illegal mining was being done by dumping the soil somewhere else.
On receiving this information, SDM Ashutosh Tiwari and Naib Tehsildar seized a dumper and tractor trolley from the spot and handed it over to Narauli outpost police. The Mining Inspector has been informed for further action.
SDM said that a dumper and a tractor trolley were caught from the spot while carrying out illegal mining. Shanu, a resident of Muhammadpur Kashi, had taken general permission from the Mining Department to pour soil for the CO's under-construction house. Whereas on the spot, illegal mining was found using machines. The Mining Inspector has been informed for action and the permission will also be cancelled.
