Jagran correspondent, Moradabad. A house full of children. Husband is with me, yet my mind is empty. After a long time, someone came into my life who looked into my eyes. Shaken the mind and heart. Feelings understood. Under his influence, forgetting the bonds of seven births and his mother's love, he walked towards her. As told by that person who understood the feelings – I crossed the threshold of the house by following the path shown by him.
This was not a rebellion of the woman, but a search for the life which was lost somewhere inside the house. Yes! The cases of married women leaving their homes have been increasing rapidly in the district for some time now. This is showing that the feeling of belongingness is going away from home, in such a situation, women are moving towards where they can get the feeling of belongingness. This is the truth of the changing social environment and fast-paced life.
Amidst the increasing influence of internet media and changing social thinking, 81 children in the district were deprived of their mother's care. According to police records, in the year 2025, 57 women left their husbands and children and ran away with their lovers, leaving behind 81 children. Those who could not get the company of their mother for a long time.
The actual number of women who absconded may be more than this, but in many cases the police showed proactiveness and found the women and brought them back to their families. Despite this, 57 women left not only their husbands but also their innocent children and chose a new life with their lovers.
These include women ranging from 20 years to 50 years, which shows that this problem is not limited to any one age group. Investigation has revealed that in most of the cases love affairs were formed through internet media and mobile phones. Gradually the conversations deepened and family responsibilities were left behind. Many fathers are now forced to raise children alone, while in some cases grandparents or other relatives have taken over responsibility for the children.
Women going through insecurity and identity crisis
Divisional psychologist Dr. Reena Tomar said that this problem is not only moral or family, but is related to deep mental and social reasons. Due to excessive use of internet media and mobile, emotional attachment is being formed very fast. Many women are going through neglect, lack of communication, emotional insecurity and identity crisis in their marital life.
In such a situation, when they get even a little emotional acceptance and belongingness from outside, they take decisions without thinking about the consequences. Families should increase communication, understand the emotional needs of women and seek timely help of counseling, so that such broken relationships and mental trauma of children can be prevented.
