The heart-wrenching incident of death exposed the grave negligence of the Noida Authority.

Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. The heartbreaking incident of the tragic death of a software engineer by drowning while digging for the goods basement in Noida has exposed the grave negligence of the Noida Authority, which has shaken even the Uttar Pradesh government. Even in Delhi, it is not surprising to see such deep and dangerous potholes in the middle of the road or on the side, which the system has left to the fate of the pedestrians considering them safe with the help of bamboo-stick crutches. Now someone drowns or gets injured. This deliberate negligence of the system is not new. Let's wait for an accident like Noida, then maybe seriousness will come. Dainik Jagran's investigation found many such potholes which have been dug by the government agencies and have been left open, which can prove to be fatal along with injuring the people passing by.

Drain wall missing in East Delhi

The wall of the drain passing along the main road of Shri Ram Colony of Khajuri Khas has been broken for years. Last year, a cyclist fell into the drain and was rescued, after which the broken wall was replaced with debris. But if the driver is distracted, the vehicle may end up in a drain. Similarly, there is no drain wall near Kondli also, where there is a danger of accident. A large part of the drain wall near Chacha Nehru Hospital in Geeta Colony has completely collapsed. This situation has been going on for one year.

MCD is not paying attention to the safety standards in the work of laying sewer line on Sonia Vihar Dosra Pushta. Manholes dug in the streets are lying open. Local resident Vivek Singh said that an eight-year-old child was injured after falling into a pit dug recently.

Bamboo ball and half open drain in South Delhi

The repair work of the rain drain has been going on for about 20 days in Sangam Vihar of South Delhi, in which half of the drain has been "protected" with the help of bamboo poles and the other half has been left open. Whereas, people pass through there every day to go to Sangam Vihar from the shooting range. There is also darkness there, which makes it dangerous. Similarly, to drain the drain water in front of Shaheen Bagh police station, a deep pit was dug on the main road, in which also the technique of securing it with bamboo poles has been tried.

There are many places in the about two km long drain along the Palam to Dabri road in West Delhi where the drain is not only open but is also without any warning sign and blocking system, which makes it dangerous. This drain is about 10 to 12 feet deep.

Vehicles getting stuck in pits dug in outer Delhi

Sewer construction work is going on near Lal Mandir on Main Mubarakpur Road in Kirari, Outer Delhi. Pits have been dug here and abandoned. Work has been stopped for several days. Barricades have also not been installed properly for security here. On Tuesday night, a wheel of a vehicle went into the same pit. People took him out after a lot of effort.

Excavation has been done outside street number 13 to lay the sewer pipeline near Vakil Chowk of Gauri Shankar Enclave. Around which silt was removed and left. Keeping safety in mind, barricading has been done on the sides of the open pits. But there are reflectors installed on the barricades.

Due to the fencing of the pits, the safety of the people also seems to be assured. At the same time, excavation is being done to lay a pipeline on one side of the road in front of the government school located in Rohini Sector-20. Pits are being dug without any security till RK Plaza. Due to which there is fear of accident. A deep pit has been dug for sewer in Malka Ganj, which is without any safety standard.
