Jagran correspondent, outer Delhi. A tourist bus parked in Shalimar Bagh area caught fire on Monday night. After receiving information about the incident, four fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. Fire brigade personnel brought the fire under control within an hour. At the time of the fire, the driver and helper were traveling in the bus, who got down and went to a safe place as soon as the bus caught fire. Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
According to the fire department, at 9:40 pm on Monday night, the police received information about a fire in a tourist bus in Shalimar Bagh area. As soon as the information was received, four vehicles from the fire station reached the spot. Fire officials found that the bus was on fire. During enquiry, it was revealed that only the driver and the helper were present in the bus at the time of the incident, who came out safely after the bus caught fire.
Fire brigade personnel brought the fire under control within an hour. Initial investigation revealed that the fire was caused by short circuit. Police have taken possession of the burnt bus and are conducting a technical investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
