PTI, Davos. Union New and Renewable Energy Minister Pralhad Joshi on Tuesday said global companies are trusting India because of its stable government, clear policies and strong talent. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is India's biggest USP (unique identity) on the global stage.

Pralhad Joshi said during the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) that during their meetings in Davos it was clearly visible that global investors have confidence in Indian leadership and they consider India as a good investment destination.

On India's goal of becoming the third largest economy in the world, he said that about 10-11 years ago, India was seen as a fragile economy, but now it has become the fourth largest economy.

He said that while it took more than 50 years for the country to become a $1 trillion to $2 trillion economy, it took only about a decade to become a $3 trillion and four trillion dollar economy.

The Union Minister said that Prime Minister Modi's mantra of Reform, Perform and Transform i.e. reform, performance and change has been the main basis of this progress. He said that now Inform has also been added to it, so that the world and countrymen can be made aware of India's achievements.

Global industry sees India as a reliable partner: Vaishnav

According to ANI, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that India is building a complete semiconductor ecosystem and the global industry is looking at the country as a reliable partner. In a post on X, Vaishnav was seen attending meetings at the World Economic Forum in Davos. He said India is building a complete semiconductor ecosystem encompassing design, manufacturing, packaging, materials, gases and devices.

He also noted that Google is strengthening its commitment to India's AI ecosystem, including a US$15 billion AI data center in Visakhapatnam and partnerships with Indian startups.
