It was fortunate that his life was saved due to the alertness of a young man present in the river. Cheetah police reached the spot on information and took the youth to the police station.
According to the police, Ashok Tangadiya, resident of Nadigaon, was passing through the foot bridge near Bagnath temple at around 5 pm on Saturday evening. During this time he suddenly jumped from the bridge into the Saryu river. At that time, when a young man named Satish who was roaming in Saryu Bagad area saw Ashok jumping into the river, he immediately jumped into the river and pulled him out safely.
After the incident, the people present nearby immediately informed the police. As soon as the information was received, Cheetah police reached the spot and took the youth to the police station. Kotwal Anil Upadhyay told that the young man was under the influence of alcohol. At present his medical examination is being conducted.
