In Jawahar Nagar area of Banbhulpura police station area, a case of a young man continuously stalking, molesting and forcibly pressurizing a girl for marriage has come to light. When she protested, the young man attacked the girl fatally with a stone, causing serious injury to her head.
In Banbhulpura police station area, the victim's grandmother Naseema, wife of Anees Ahmed, resident of Jawahar Nagar, told the police in the complaint that whenever her granddaughter Adiba, daughter of Farhan, went out of the house, Anna son of Zahid, resident of Gaula Gate, Jawahar Nagar, used to follow her every day and molest her on the way. The young man used to force the girl to marry her and even threatened to kill her.
The incident took place on February 7, when the girl had gone out to collect goods from home. It is alleged that the young man stopped her on the way and forcibly held her and started taking her towards Gaula. When the girl refused to marry him, the accused picked up a stone and hit her on the head and ran away from the spot, abusing her. The injured girl was treated at Soban Singh Jina Base Hospital, where it was confirmed that she had a serious head injury.
The victim's side has filed a report with the police and demanded strict action against the accused. The police have been involved in the investigation of the case.
Banbhulpura police station chief DS Fartyal said that an FIR has been registered against the complaint of the girl's grandmother.
