Jagran correspondent, Jaunpur. The son, a resident of Ahmedpur Cantonment Gauriyana of Zafarabad police station area, killed his parents by bashing their heads with a Lodha about a week ago. With the intention of destroying the evidence, the bodies were packed in sacks, taken by car and thrown into the Gomti River. This revelation happened during the interrogation of Kaput, who was missing since then and was caught by the police on Monday. After registering the case, the police has started searching for the dead bodies. Shyam Bahadur was a retired loco pilot of Railways. On Monday, the police arrested Ambesh Kumar near the village.

When the police started questioning him, he kept talking here and there to confuse him. When the matter appeared suspicious, the police interrogated him strictly and he broke down. Ambesh Kumar admitted that due to family dispute and money transactions, on December 8 itself, after killing his parents by hitting them on the head with a batta (a stone made of carved stone used for grinding spices), after filling the bodies in a sack, they took them to Belaon Ghat in the area and threw them in the Gomti river.

ASP (City) Ayush Srivastava said that the accused is being interrogated. The investigation so far has revealed that Shyam Bahadur has three daughters among his four children. The only son Ambesh Kumar is at number three.

During the Corona transition period, Ambesh Kumar had a love marriage with a girl who ran a beauty parlor in Kolkata. Parents and sisters were not accepting. Due to this, Ambesh Kumar feared that his parents would evict him from the property and give his rightful share to his sisters. This became the reason for the incident. Search for the dead bodies of accused Ambesh Kumar has been started.

The killer of parents kept misleading the police

When Ambesh confessed to the murder of his parents, even the police officers were stunned. Ambesh lived in Kolkata most of the time. Whenever he came back, he often quarreled with his parents over money and property. There were hesitations due to love marriage despite the family's permission.

Apart from this, accused Ambesh was also afraid that his father Shyam Bahadur and mother Babita Devi might throw him out of the family. The police are thoroughly investigating all the reasons behind the murder. The deceased couple were originally residents of Khargasenpur. Here he was living at home. Shyam Bahadur had retired as a loco pilot only four months ago.
