Jagran correspondent, Kanpur. Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal and Joint Commissioner of Police Crime and Headquarters Vinod Kumar Singh inspected about 30 liquor shops in the city on Saturday night. During this time, 52 people were caught sitting near the shop and drinking alcohol in the cars. After interrogation, he was released after giving a warning and strict instructions.

The Police Commissioner has directed to maintain security in the city and prevent suspicious activities. For this, reached Ghantaghar on Saturday night. During this period, 46 people were interrogated in view of suspicious activities in the areas around the railway station. Most of them were students who had come to appear for the B.P.Ed examination and some were labourers. All of them were verified.

52 people caught drinking alcohol

After this, 52 people were caught drinking liquor near liquor shops in many areas, out of which 18 people were found drinking while sitting in the car. He left with instructions not to indulge in such activities again in future.

During night checking, pickets of local police stations were also inspected. He instructed the policemen to maintain continuous patrolling, regular checking and monitoring in their respective areas. Instructions were given for effective monitoring especially by checking around bus stands, railway stations, major intersections, crowded areas and liquor vends.
