The drivers present inside were Abdullah, Babu and Mohd. He caught hold of Adam and beat him severely. Kanth police station somehow detained the accused and seeing the worsening of the situation, they were sent to Civil Lines police station. Investigation revealed that the car belonged to Haseeb Hussain of Kanth. He is the brother of former city president of Aspa, Masoom Ali.
Haseeb himself had given the car to Abdullah, Babu and Md. Adam for some work. Divisional in-charge of ASP, Dr. Sheeshpal Singh said that Masoom Ali has been the former city president of Azad Samaj Party. At present he has no responsibilities. Masoom Ali was not even present in the car. Vivek Kumar Saini's five-year-old daughter Misty was going from home on Sunday evening to a nearby grocery shop to buy chocolates.
