According to the information received, Rohit Kumar alias Raju (15), son of Girja Kumar, resident of Krishnapuri (Manichak) police station (native of Zahidpur village of Bhagwanganj police station), was a student of 10th class and was about to appear in the matriculation examination this time.
On Saturday evening, he along with his two other friends had gone to the market from his home on a bike. As soon as he reached the landing adjacent to the Dak Bungalow complex, more than half a dozen armed accused surrounded him. Seeing this both his friends ran away.
The accused seriously injured him by stabbing him on the left side of his waist and ran away towards the south. Later, after getting first aid at a private nursing home, Rohit was taken to Patna AIIMS for better treatment. But the doctors there declared him dead.
After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and were investigating the matter. The police were trying to identify the accused from the CCTV footage installed around the incident site.
The reason for the incident is not clear at present
At present the reason for the incident could not be clear. However, according to experts, the cause of the incident is said to be a dispute over the deceased pouring Abir Gulal on someone during a coaching welfare party.
It is said that there was a welfare party in Rohit's coaching center on Saturday. The allegation was that Rohit had poured Abir Gulal on someone there. The accused considered this as bad. Here, when Rohit reached the market in the evening, there was a scuffle between the accused and Rohit and his friends and then the accused stabbed him and injured him.
It was also discussed that on Saturday evening someone had called Rohit from his house and taken him away. Meanwhile, police station in-charge Vivek Bharti said that before Rohit was stabbed, there was a fight between the two parties near the spot. He told that the reason behind the fight between them is not known at the moment.
He said that the reason behind the incident will be known only after the statement of the deceased's relatives. However, the police was raiding the houses of some suspicious youth in search of the accused.
