Jagran correspondent, Patna. Women Entrepreneur Phagunotsav was inaugurated at Gyan Bhawan on Thursday by Bihar Mahila Udyog Sangh. In the Phagunotsav fair, 225 women entrepreneurs from different states including Bihar, Kolkata, Delhi, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh have set up their stalls.
Especially keeping in mind Holi, stalls selling kurta-pajama, herbal colors and gulal, dry fruits, sarees, shoots, puja materials etc. have become the center of attraction among the people.
Apart from this, silk, handloom, jewellery, sattu, papad, pickles, Mithila painting, Tikuli and Sikki art material, 3-D printed products and home decor items are also available in the fair. The fair was jointly inaugurated by Industries Minister Dilip Jaiswal and Food and Consumer Protection Minister Lacey Singh.
On the occasion, the Industries Minister said that the women of Bihar are now making their mark in all fields including technology, production, service and entrepreneurship. Many schemes are being run by the Central and State Government for the empowerment of women.
Food and Consumer Protection Minister Lecy Singh said that women are now leaving the confines of their homes and making their presence felt in every field. He told that the number of women entrepreneurs in Bihar has crossed nine lakh. Which is a matter of pride for the state.
President of the association, Usha Jha, said in the program that the fair has been organized especially with the aim of providing a platform to women entrepreneurs, so that they can showcase and sell their products.
MSME DFO Sweta, NABARD DGM Bhola Prasad Singh, SIDBI General Manager Anubha Prasad, BIA Chairman Ramlal Khaitan, CIMP Directors Dr. Rana, Indu Aggarwal, Dr. Purnima Rai, Kiran Ranjan, Ankita etc. were present on the occasion.
