Angry people blocked the road after the death
Jagran correspondent, Chhapra (Saran). Late Tuesday night, a young man was murdered by slitting his throat in Jatua village of Rivilganj police station area of Saran district. There was a sensation in the entire area after his body was found in a blood-soaked state on the railway track near the village on Wednesday morning. The deceased has been identified as Rohit Kumar, 25, father Shambhu Rai, resident of Jakhua village. As soon as information about the incident was received, a large number of villagers gathered at the spot and an atmosphere of panic was created in the area.
Early in the morning, when the villagers saw the dead body lying on the side of the railway track, the news spread due to suspicion. Upon identification, there was mourning among the family members and the villagers.
Deep marks of a sharp weapon were found on the neck of the deceased, which made it clear that Rohit had been murdered in a brutal manner.
At present it is not clear where the murder was committed and whether the body was brought there and thrown or the incident site is the same. Police are investigating on this point also.
The anger of the villagers erupted on Wednesday morning in protest against the incident. Angry people blocked Mukreda Chowk by placing the dead body. Due to the demonstration, long queues of vehicles formed on both sides of the road and traffic was disrupted.
The villagers were demanding immediate arrest of the killers and also accused the police administration of increasing crime in the area. Some people said that criminal incidents are continuously happening in the area, but the police is not showing seriousness in action.
The relatives of the deceased told that Rohit used to work in a company outside and had come home after taking leave about 15 days ago. He got married about five years ago and has two small children, a son and a daughter.
This sudden accident that has happened to the family has left everyone shattered. Due to Rohit's calm nature, it has not come to light that he has any enmity in the village, due to which many questions are being raised regarding the reason for the murder.
As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached Rivilganj police station. Police Station Head Rakesh Kumar Singh said that the matter is being investigated from every aspect.
Police are searching for suspects in nearby villages and claim to arrest the culprits soon. The police have started further action by sending the body for post-mortem.
