State Bureau, Lucknow. The Social Welfare Department has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Madad Foundation to give a new direction to the inclusive development, digital literacy and technical empowerment of girl students. Under this, 40 tablets were given to the principals of Jaiprakash Narayan Sarvodaya Balika Vidyalaya of Gorakhpur and Maharajganj in a program organized on Tuesday at Bhagidari Bhawan.
Aseem Arun said that digital education is the need of the hour today. The government is running a campaign to connect girl students with new technology through smart classes, e-content, tablets and digital devices, skills and career-oriented training. The goal is that girls can become not only educated but also technically proficient and self-reliant citizens. Through technical resources, girl students will not only get quality education, but they will also become self-reliant and confident.
He informed that 20-20 tablets have been provided to both the schools. These tablets will be given to the girl students of the respective schools for their studies. After the success of the project, tablets will be given to other schools also.
He said that this initiative is in line with the spirit of girl empowerment, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao and Digital India of the government.
Madad Foundation founder Rajesh Mani described this collaboration as a meaningful effort in the field of social upliftment and education. Director Sanjeev Singh, Deputy Director Anand Kumar Singh, J. were present in the program. Ram was also present.
