Jagran correspondent, Dhanbad. Dense Fog Disrupts Howrah–Delhi Rail Route: The effect of fog has started becoming visible in North India. The maximum impact of fog is visible on VIP trains like Rajdhani Express. The wheels of the capital are turning slowly due to fog.
On Sunday, both the capitals reached New Delhi in the afternoon instead of the morning. The Rajdhani Express going from Howrah to New Delhi was late by four and a quarter hours at 1:48 pm and the Sealdah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express was three and a quarter hours late at 2:05 pm.
In return, New Delhi-Sealdah Rajdhani was delayed by 3:43 hours on Sunday, New Delhi-Howrah Rajdhani by 3 hours 53 minutes. Kalka-Howrah Netaji Express also arrived late by one hour 43 minutes. Due to late arrival, both the Rajdhani Express running from New Delhi departed late.
New Delhi-Howrah Rajdhani opened at 6:15 pm instead of 4:50 pm. New Delhi-Sealdah Rajdhani opened at 6:00 pm instead of 4:30 pm. Late departure will result in late arrival on Monday.
Bhubaneswar Rajdhani late by more than seven hours, will arrive late today
Tejas Rajdhani running between Bhubaneswar and New Delhi was also affected by fog. Reached New Delhi at 4:59 pm instead of 9:55 am on Sunday. Due to late arrival, information was issued that the train leaving from New Delhi on Sunday will depart at 10:40 pm instead of 5:00 pm. Will be late on Monday due to running late.
