Indonesia Masters 2026: PV Sindhu And Lakshya Sen In Quarterfinals

Jakarta, PTI: Indian badminton players PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen entered the quarterfinals of the Indonesia Masters badminton tournament with straight game wins on Thursday. Lakshya defeated Jason Gunawan of Hong Kong 21-10 21-11 in a match that lasted a little more than half an hour.

While two-time Olympic medalist Sindhu registered a 21-19 21-18 win over her tough rival Hojmark Kjaerfeld of Denmark in her pre-quarterfinal match. This match lasted for 43 minutes. This was Sindhu's fifth win in six matches against the Danish player so far.

Sindhu will next face the tournament's top seed and world number four player Chen Yu Fei of China. Sindhu and Faye have faced each other 13 times so far. Fei has a slight edge in the overall record, 7-6. The Indian player last defeated Fai in 2019 and she will be keen to better this record.
