Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. There was chaos at Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) when an object resembling a human skeleton was found in a bag during security check. As soon as this suspicious object was found, the security agencies became alert and immediately informed the Delhi Police. Taking precaution, the police seized the skeleton and sent it for forensic examination.
Then I understood the problem
DCP IGI Airport Vichitra Veer said that regular checking of passengers' luggage was being done at Terminal-3. Meanwhile, human bone structure was seen inside a bag in the X-ray machine.
The security personnel immediately seized the bag and stopped the passenger for questioning. When the Delhi Police team reached the spot and investigated, it was found that it was not a real human remains but a demo skeleton. Such artificial skeletons are mainly used by medical students for their studies and to understand the anatomical structure.
Police are investigating the matter thoroughly
Nevertheless, to completely clarify the authenticity of the object, the police has sent it to the Forensic Science Laboratory. The airport management has clarified that after investigation the situation at the terminal became normal. This has not affected the operation of any flight. At present the police is investigating the matter thoroughly.
