Jagran correspondent, Narkatiaganj. During vehicle checking near Satwaria Petrol Pump on Narkatiaganj- Bettiah main road on Monday evening, four youths assaulted the Inspector.
During this time, the challan cutting machine was also snatched from the hand of the Inspector and damaged. However, the Sathi police took prompt action and arrested two accused, while two others are absconding.
Sathi police station incharge Rajan Kumar said that Laddu Sah and Hariom Sah of Satwaria village have been arrested for obstructing government work and assaulting Inspector Amarjeet Kumar on duty.
In this case, on the report of the Inspector, a case was registered and both the accused were sent to judicial custody. Raids are being conducted to arrest two absconding accused.
It is said that around seven o'clock on Monday evening, Inspector Amarjit Kumar was checking the vehicle along with two home guards and two watchmen near Satwaria Petrol Pump. Meanwhile, Laddu Sah came on the bike and started running away after seeing the police car. While trying to escape, he fell, after which the soldiers caught him.
The inspector was asking the reason for his escape, when three of his associates and a woman reached there and got into a tussle with the police. Within no time they started fighting. It is alleged that during this time the accused broke the challan machine. Inspector Amarjeet Kumar said that a case has been registered against four named and other unknown persons. Here in this case, a video is also being circulated on the internet media, in which some people are misbehaving with the police.
