Jagran correspondent, Bansi. To know the progress of SIR form and to speed up the mapping work, Divisional Commissioner Basti Division Akhilesh Singh conducted a surprise inspection of Bansi Tehsil. Saw the mapping work being done by the accountants in the meeting room and got to know the progress of filling the SIR form. During this, he said that he gave instructions to speed up the mapping from the voter list of 2003.

He said that for mapping those voters who have not been mapped yet, the deceased voter list should be re-verified. Also directed to re-check 100 percent verified booths. Commissioner Basti also took information from Reena and Anjali, the accountants working in the tehsil, as to how they were doing the mapping work.

The mapping work done by the accountants was shown to him, on which he expressed satisfaction. He said that in any case this work has to be completed by December. Do not do any kind of negligence in this. If there is any problem in mapping, then discuss it with higher officials once.

Incorrect work should never be edited. Sub-District Magistrate Nikhil Chakraborty, Tehsildar Piyush Srivastava, Naib Tehsildar Madhurya Yadav, Chandra Prakash, Mehboob and other employees of the tehsil were present.

Booth level agents will verify the votes deducted in SIR. Names of 86711 voters were marked at 451 booths. Objections are being sought by giving lists to the agents of all parties.

In Dumariyaganj, the Election Commission is running a special intensive revision campaign from November 4 to make the voter list clean. In which, according to the voter list of 2003 and the list of 2025, the form was distributed to all the voters through BLO.

After collecting it and making it online, voters like deceased, shifted, doubling, absent and others on whom no one has any objection are being marked. Tehsil administration is organizing meetings at the booths by sending the list to all the political parties. So that if there is any mistake in BLO, it can be rectified immediately. So far 86711 voters have been identified at 451 booths in the tehsil area. The Election Commission is making full strides in the ongoing intensive revision campaign. In the campaign that has been going on for one and a half months, booth level officers distributed a total of 413590 SIR forms. In which 15649 voters have been marked as deceased, 36741 shifted, 9721 doubling, 23402 absent and 1698 others have been marked in the ineligible category.

For which now the concerned BLOs are collecting necessary information by contacting the voters found in shifted and ineligible category on mobile along with the agents of the parties and the affected families at their booths. Efforts are also being made to remove the objections of the parties.

Tehsildar Ravi Yadav said that the intention of the commission is that before deducting someone's vote, the process should be taken forward only after complete verification. After 26th December, booth wise list will be made available to the authorized party officials of all the parties.
