Juan Carlos Marson Aguilera strongly condemns US military operation in Venezuela

Digital Desk, New Delhi. Cuban Ambassador to India Juan Carlos Marson Aguilera strongly condemned the US military operation in Venezuela. Calling the arrest of President Nicolas Maduro and his wife a "criminal act" and a "terrorist act", he called it a violation of the UN Charter and international law.

In an exclusive interview, Aguilera stressed that no single country can stop the US from taking such unilateral actions. He called on the world to unite to combat this "madness" in Washington's international policy. “In my opinion, this US military aggression against Venezuela is a criminal act,” the ambassador said. It is a terrorist act because it violates all principles enshrined in the UN Charter and international law. This is a unilateral action against a sovereign country.

He stressed the need for global unity by highlighting US policies, including tariff wars, threats to Iran, and military attacks. Aguilera said, 'I think that no single country can and will not be able to stop America. We have to unite. It is time to unite…we have the United Nations. We cannot deny that the United Nations plays its role…now we also have the BRICS organization. We can never accept that all these (multilateral organizations) bow down to the role imposed by the US government. Now is the time to unite all voices. This is the only way we can stop this madness directing American international policy.
