Jagran correspondent, Gurugram. During the investigation of various cases of cyber fraud, a total of 43 cyber fraudsters were caught from different places recently. Based on inquiries and data received from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre, more than 20 thousand complaints were exposed.
These accused committed fraud of Rs 159 crore 73 lakh from people across India. ACP Cyber Crime Priyanshu Diwan said that during the investigation of various cases, the police of cyber stations had arrested bank account holders, fraudsters and people involved in it.
Observation of the devices recovered from the accused has revealed more than 20099 complaints, 599 cases, and online fraud of approximately Rs 159 crore 73 lakh against these accused across India. Investigation revealed that these accused used to cheat people in the name of investment, credit cards, posing as customer care officers and hacking phones.
