A high-level delegation led by Shashank Chaudhary, Additional CEO, Invest UP, held meetings with Renesas Electronics, Marubeni Corporation, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Shimizu Corporation and Yamanashi Prefectural Government in Japan.
Advanced green hydrogen technologies were discussed at a meeting with Yamanashi Prefectural Government officials. Especially the Yamanashi Model P-2-G system was presented. Both sides discussed a pilot green hydrogen project in Uttar Pradesh, in which it was also agreed to utilize the expertise of IIT Kanpur and IIT BHU.
Jhansi was considered a suitable place for the project. The proposal also included a plan to set up a Green Hydrogen Center of Excellence.
Discussion on possible investment in important sectors held in Tokyo
In a meeting held in Tokyo with officials of Renesas Electronics, possible investment and cooperation in the field of semiconductor, embedded systems and advanced electronics was discussed. Renesas showed interest in setting up a capability center in Gautam Buddha Nagar.
Opportunities in the areas of agro-processing, renewable energy, green hydrogen, industrial clusters, electric mobility and smart infrastructure were discussed with Marubeni Corporation. Discussions were held with Suzuki Motor Corporation officials on future-oriented manufacturing and opportunities for cooperation in the EV sector.
