The Supertech Twin Towers case has once again come into limelight, as the investigation by Lucknow Vigilance, which is going on on the instructions of the government, has been completed. Now preparations for action against 35 accused have started. Vigilance has again contacted Noida Authority, seeking answers on two important points by October 4, 2021.
This is directly related to departmental investigation. Vigilance has demanded that departmental inquiry was initiated against which officers and employees in the cases related to Supertech Building. The departmental inquiry against which officers was completed and ended.
This information should be provided along with certified copies of the relevant documents. These questions have once again created a stir within the authority. The work of preparing replies has started in the authority on both the points.
Let us tell you that on August 31, 2021, the Supreme Court had ordered action against the demolition of the twin towers as well as against the officials responsible for their construction. After the court order, the state government had constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in this case on October 4, 2021.
In the investigation report regarding the construction of the tower, apart from 26 officials, four directors of Supertech and two architect companies had been accused of negligence. After this, on the complaint of Vaibhav Gupta, Senior Manager of Noida Authority Planning Department, an FIR was lodged against 30 accused officers in Lucknow Vigilance.
Apart from this, the investigation team had also considered 11 departmental officers and employees guilty in this case. They were asked to conduct a departmental inquiry. This investigation has been completed by the Additional Chief Executive Officer of Noida and Greater Noida Authority and presented to the government on 23 March 2023. On February 3, the vigilance team from Lucknow had reached Noida Authority office.
The team had contacted the nodal officer and summoned important documents related to the twin tower demolition. These included documents like detailed details of the working plan prepared in the case, order letter issued related to demolition, but late on Friday evening, Vigilance has sought answers from Noida Authority on two important points, which are directly related to the departmental investigation.
It has been said that in the cases related to Supertech Building, against which officers and employees the departmental inquiry was initiated, against which officers the departmental inquiry was completed and closed, certified copies of the relevant documents should be made available.
The report of 11 officers and employees presented to the government is being called from Greater Noida, after getting it verified afresh, the report is being prepared for the Vigilance Authority.
This includes the then manager of the planning department Mukesh Goyal, senior manager Rituraj Vyas, assistant city planners Vimala and AK Mishra, assistant architect Praveen Srivaswat, planning assistant Anita, legal advisor Rajesh Kumar, law officer Gyan Singh, project engineers SC Tyagi and Baburam.
