1100 employees of Chakradharpur division will get uniform allowance

Jagran correspondent, Jamshedpur. About 1100 railway employees of Chakradharpur Railway Division will soon get uniform allowance. Following the order issued by the Railway Board, the delegation of South Eastern Railway Men's Congress met the Division's Senior DPO Dr. Rishabh Sinha on Friday.
Railway Board has issued an order on Friday in which it has been said to give annual uniform allowance on the basis of fixed rates. Under this, all the artisans (black smith, carpenter, welder, mason, small track machine operator, assistant Pee-wee, watchman, house keeping assistant, sweeper) and other employees will get its benefit.
The Men's Congress delegation met the Senior DPO and demanded resumption of uniform allowance to the railway workers working in Chakradharpur division. On this he said that in this regard he will soon send a letter to the General Manager of Central for Railway Information System (CRIS) so that the employees can get the benefit of allowance in the salary for the month of July.
On getting the allowance, about 1100 employees of the division will get the benefit of uniform allowance of Rs 5000 every year. Whereas railway workers working on the post of Station Master and Public Relations get a uniform allowance of Rs 10,000.
Not getting uniform allowance since year 2018-19: Shashi
Zonal convenor of Men's Congress, Shashi Mishra said that since the year 2018-19, railway employees are not getting uniform allowance. On this we talked to our Congress colleagues from many zones. Uniform allowance was being given in some zones while some were not. After the order was issued from the Railway Board, we have taken immediate initiative in this direction.
